The
service is designed to help motor carriers simplify the system of
collecting trip reports
from drivers and make the information received
easier to read and process.
For drivers, this service will
significantly reduce the time they spend preparing trip reports to
submit to their Carrier Company and/or IFTA fuel tax reporting
agency.
With the Trucktax Paperless system, you will have no problems filing
reports. You will always have full and complete control of the
driver trip report information and the reporting process.
How the trip reporting system works:
Drivers would
submit trip reports
using our Internet Web reporting system, which
will automatically send the applicable carrier management a copy of each trip
report submitted by drivers by email.
This will
allow carrier management to have copies driver trip
report information
long before the driver returns to the office or truck terminal yard,
allowing for easier preparation of driver settlement.
Alternatively, drivers can submit paper trip reports if preferred.
However, paper trip reports must be submitted via fax. We will
provide a toll free Canada/USA fax number.

Drivers

Trip reports must be sent
monthly to
reach
our office
by the
10th of the month
following the trip month, to allow us to process the information in
a timely manner and
provide you with the ready to file IFTA return by email or Fax by
the 20th of the filing due month.
How the IFTA fuel tax system works;
2. We
give you full control over the trip data information processed, by
sending you fleet activity, fleet summary and unit activity and
summary reports on a monthly basis.
As soon as all the trip reports are in for the month,
the data entry is done. Once the data entry is done, we perform a data integrity audit to verify that
the data entered matches the trip report information submitted. After the data integrity audit, we send you all of the agreed
monthly reports by email.
3. Similarly
at quarter end, the final trip reports are entered, the data
integrity audit is conducted and all applicable state reports are sent to
you by email to be printed and mailed to your IFTA jurisdiction
state or province.
Similarly,
for audit support purposes, we will retain a copy of all trip
reports received and processed and the related IFTA Fuel Tax data
and returns, for
as long as you are an IFTA-Fuel Tax client.
