       Tax News Update:  - The Meals allowance 

The meals allowance rate has been changed to $17 per meal up to a maximum of $51.00 per day when claiming meal deductions on their tax return.

Where the Trucker is traveling in the United States , they would use the rate of  US$17 per meal up to a maximum of US$51.00 per day, converted to Canadian dollars.
